As a mother of two, when it comes to designing my own home, I’m constantly balancing my love of aesthetics with function + usability. This San Francisco project was a nod to that balance. We created a kid-friendly, extra cozy media room that doesn’t lack form.

A year and a half ago we put the finishing touches on our Four Seasons Residence project in San Francisco. We took a bolder approach with the windows, turning them into the belle of the ball, while balancing gorgeous sculptural art against skyline views. Vintage chairs + blue tables speak for themselves. Overall, we were super pleased with this stylish + cozy vibe.

There is something extra special about following design through the lens of other cultures. French architectural designer Pierre Gonalons has always inspired our work. Here, his use of modern touches against the ceiling’s period detail remind us there are always ways to liven up even the most traditional of spaces.

This lovely sitting room is a calm oasis for our client in Mill Valley. A stunning view of the Redwood trees outside the window, coupled with peaceful blues and purples, gives this space an earthy, nature-infused vibe. The custom-made upholstered pull-out couch can also transform this room into a lofty bedroom for guests. We found some fabulous vintage art pieces to dress the walls and layered in pillows in different textures to pop off the velvet sofa.

This space provides a tree framed backdrop for quiet mornings with a coffee in hand. ☕🌲

Is there anything more calming than the color blue? We relished the opportunity to incorporate the blue of the bay views into this relaxing living room in their Mission Bay home. We also enjoyed pairing the expansive windows and natural light with the water views. 🌊🐚

The custom-made, curved sofa ties in with the theme of tranquility and complements the white antique rug nicely. We adore this coffee table with a glass top and sculpted wood base (which is quite heavy!), as it really draws the eye and serves as the centerpiece. We also sourced unique furniture like these sleek burl wood stools with upholstered tops.

We absolutely love this client and are working actually working with them on their new SF home as they just moved back to the city from Atlanta! 🏠

Dutch designer Dirk Van Der Kooij, who founded his studio, Kooij, creates furniture from recycled plastic. He takes discarded items – CDs, leather sofas, kitchen appliances, etc. – and reworks them into distinctive, bold pieces of art. His innovative approach to incorporating plastic recycling techniques into his creative process has positively impacted the environment.


We have a gorgeous Meltingpot table in our studio. 🎨 🖼️
